June 2025 Update

Supporting families affected by Central Texas floods
June 2025 Update

A short update this month as first and foremost, our thoughts are with the families and communities devastated by the recent Central Texas floods. Thank you to Comedor for rallying the local Austin hospitality community and being a drop off point for donations. They collected a tremendous amount of food, and Radius donated a few hundred pounds as part of that effort. If folks are looking for ways to support families affected by the floods, the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund is accepting donations.

Announcements

  • Hiring: We’re looking forward to adding a few folks to the team — one full-time associate and one part-time production cook. Learn more about the roles here, and if interested please email jobs@eatradius.com with your resume and a paragraph about why you’d like to work with us.
    • Associate: You are a great fit for this role if you love cooking and want to share that love with others with a welcoming, teaching attitude. Associates help customers at self-checkout, receive deliveries, manage inventory, restock produce and dry goods, answer shopper questions about products, and maintain a neat and welcoming store environment.
    • Production Cook: Utilization is the heart of any great butcher shop. As a production cook, you will be responsible for executing recipes like sausages, stocks, stews, sauces, pates, and ferments that use every part of the plants and animals in the shop.
  • Raw milk pre-orders: Pick up Four E Diary raw cow milk and Rusty Star Ranch raw goat milk at Radius starting July 14. Go to OneMilkAgent.com to place your pick-up order and select Radius as your pick-up location. Here's a video walkthrough of how to use their site.
  • Radius Burger: We’ve tested a new seasoned burger patty recipe for a few months that just got put into the case. It’s an umami bomb and it is very, very delicious. Chef Kim and Chef Janelle created two different types of umami powder — one from dehydrated beef demi glace, one from dehydrated mushrooms — plus a special blend of spices. The customers who have tried it so far have said it’s probably the best burger they’ve ever cooked at home.
