August 2026 Update
Chicken wing and drumstick special, last chance for peak melons and tomatoes, in-store popup with Blackjack Oysters, and stock up for back up for back to school!
August is the last real stretch of summer at the shop — melons and tomatoes still at their peak, and school starting back up. A few things happening this month:
- Chicken Wing & Drumstick Special: Enjoy $3 off per pound on frozen wings and drumsticks all month in the shop – no minimum weight required!
- Back to School: School means packed lunches and busy weeknights. Our prepared foods, house-made provisions, and Freezer Filler special make it easy to keep real, local food on the table when there's less to cook. Grab items at the shop or order delivery through Instacart.
- Blackjack Oysters Pop-Up: We're hosting Blackjack Oysters in the shop at 10am on August 15th. They farm Texas Gulf oysters, and they'll be shucking fresh through the early afternoon, until supplies run out — come by to taste these oysters at their best along with Blackjack's special mignonette.
- Butcher & Provisions Box: Each month our team curates a balanced box of raw cuts, cooked specialties, and house-made provisions. The Freezer Filler Club keeps ready-to-heat meals and butcher staples on hand through the back-to-school rush. Become a member or join the waitlist.
Meet Pure Pastures
All of our lamb comes from Pure Pastures in Canyon Lake, a family farm raising Dorper sheep on regenerative Hill Country pasture. We spent a day at the ranch with Jeremiah to see how it's done — watch the farm visit here:
